Inductive sensors Lx4 / Lx8 are designed for diagnostics of ignition systems using an oscilloscope. Allows you to display on the screen of an automotive oscilloscope voltage pulses in the secondary circuits of all individual ignition coils of a modern gasoline engine simultaneously.

Inductive sensors Lx4 / Lx8 are connected to the COP Adapter.

- The set of inductive sensors Lx4 consists of four sensors.
- The set of inductive sensors Lx8 consists of eight sensors.

The sensors have a diameter of 8 mm, which allows them to be mounted on the surface of almost any ignition coil.

It should be noted that due to the variety of designs of ignition coils, Lx4 / Lx8 sensors do not measure the absolute value of the voltage at which an ignition spark occurs. But they can be used for comparative analysis between different cylinders to determine which cylinder is not working properly.

Each of the sensors is marked with a number according to which the sensors are installed on the ignition coils. Always install a black inductive sensor (cylinder 1 sensor) on the ignition coil of the first cylinder.

Fixation of sensors Lx4 / Lx8 on the surface of the ignition coil is carried out using double-sided adhesive tape, which is glued to its end. The width of the adhesive tape is 8…10 mm, the thickness is 0.2…0.5 mm. After completing the measurements, the adhesive tape should be removed from the surface of the sensor and the ignition coil.
